For the first time ever in Bialystok in coordination with UPOL, Institute of Fine Arts from Slovenia, the Complex Music Schools will be holding “WOW” -Winter Orchestra Workshop. Taking place 09th-14th February 2015, the aim of the workshop is to promote wind and percussion instruments in an orchestral setting in Bialystok and Podlaskie province.
Conductors Andrea Loss from Italy, and Simon Percic from Slovenia, will be directing throughout the workshop, in cooperation with the best professors from Bialystok.
Young musicians will experience 6 days of extensive personal training where they will hone their skills to a professional level in preparation for the final concert. The sixty person wind band orchestra will perform at 12.00 on 14.02.2015 at Philharmonic Hall located at Podleśna street

Conductors :
Simon Perčič graduated at Academy of music in Ljubljana (trombone). He perfected his studies with professors R. Bobo, A. Mazzucco and Ben van Dijk. He collaborated with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and Symphonic Orchestra RTV Slovenia. He studied conducting with professors G. Pehlivanian, D. Bostock, J. Cober, and M. Heron. He finished the specialization in conducting symphony orchestras with professor Jorma Panula (Finland) at Scuola di musica di Fiesole (It).
He participated at the international festivals in Lisbona, Valencia, Berlin, Sao Paolo, Eolia-Strasburg, at London’s Wind band festival and at MID Europe. With his orchestras he has achieved many awards and high classification at national and international competitions. He is the artistic director of UPOL’s projects (OrkesterkamP, SolokamP,
Svirel) and music director of the international youth orchestra “NOVA philharmonic” and Wind band city of Triest (Italy).
Andrea Loss – graduated at the Conservatory in Udine (Clarinet) and studied conducting with Jan Cober (NL), Ronald Johnson (USA), Felix Hauswirth (CH) , Isaac Karabtchevsky (BR), Diego Dini Ciacci (I) orchestration , harmony , composition and singing.
He conducted several wind orchestra in Italy, Europe, and USA. He is the principal conductor of the “Orchestra di fiati Rosmini ” from Rovereto (I), Orchestra di Fiati della Provincia di Vicenza (I) , Banda cittadina Peschiera del Garda (I), Corpo bandistico di Lizzana (I) and he is teacher and artistic director of ISEB (Wind Band European Institute ).

Graduated at Music Academy of Frederic Chopin in Warsaw 1993-1995 (trumpet) and Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, / 1995-1998 instrumental-pedagogical faculty, class trumpet.
Works in the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic from 1995 first trumpet. Since 1996, trumpet teacher in Music Schools. IJPaderewski in Bialystok .In 2005, the founder and leader of Big-Band ZSM in Białystok. From 2006 proffesor on chamber ensembles Big Band at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music filia in Białystok . In 2007 the show-band trumpeter in the ship-Oceania Cruises Insignia.

Luca Neccia
Oboe.Born in Italy, graduate at the Conservatory „L. Refice” in Frosinone. After that, he improved his skills under the guide of A. Loppi at the Academy „Santa Cecilia” in Rome, and A. Negroni (principal oboe at the „Scala” theater, Milan).
He partecipated in several courses, in 1995 in Austria with Martin Gabriel (principal oboe at the „Wiener Philarmoniker), in 1997 in Poland with Ingo Goritzki for oboe and Aurele Nicolet for chamber music.
In 1998 joined the „Cyprus chamber orchestra”.
From 2001 principal oboe at the Podlasie Opera and Philarmonic in Bialystok, Poland.
In 2006 formed the ensemble „ orchestra di otto” with whom recorded a CD of Mozart’s Serenades for wind, celebrating the 300ht anniversary of Mozart’s birthday.
Łukasz Zamaryka
Perkussion. Graduated Department of Percussion Music Academy in Poznan in Marian Rapczewski , Edward Iwickiego and Jacek Wota class . Perfected skills at master classes conducted by . John Beck, Katarzyna Myćka, David Friedman. During his studies he cooperated with Poznan Philharmony, Grand Theatre in Poznan, Poznan Musical Theatre, Kielce Philharmonic , Krakow Philharmonicy, Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Gora. Has concerts in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Great Britain, Kuwait, Russia, Germany. Since 2008 drummer in Opera and Philharmonic in Białystok, percussion teacher at Music School in Bialystok.
Ewelina Góra
Percission. Finished National School of Music II st. Im. J. Elsner in Warsaw at Bogdan Lauks percussion class. Graduated Fryderyk Chopin University , Henryk Mikolajczyk percussion class. Continued musical education at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg in France in Emmanuel Sejourne class. Collaborated with. the Pan-European Philharmony, , Opera and Philharmony Podlasie, Suwalki Chamber Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of Siedlce, ensemble “Diletto” .Participated in numerous percussion workshops led by: David Friedmann, T. Adam Blackstock, Victor Mendoza, Rainer Seegers, Franz Schindlbeck, Denis Riedinger, Stephan Fougeroux. Percussion teacher at Music School in Białystok.
Magdalena Pogorzelska
Magdalena Pogorzelska is a successful oboist and teacher. She graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, Mr Sobola’s class. She attended masterclasses held by i.e Stanisław Malikowski, Tomasz Miczka, Jerzy Kotyczka.
In the years 2005 – 2014 she performed as a first oboe in Lomza Chamber Philharmonic. She performed with such conductors as: Jerzy Maksymiuk, Jerzy Salwarowski, Marek Pijarowski, Krzysztof Urbański, Józef Wiłkomirski

Additionally she has cooperated with other symphonies and theaters: Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, South Florida Symphony, Aleksander Wegierka’s Theater of Drama
Since 2005, she has been running oboe classes in the (primary and secondary) Schools of Music in Bialystok. Her students have won several prizes in national and international competitions.
Magdalena Jakubowska-Puchalska.
Flute. Graduated in 1984( flute) Lodz Academy of Music. perfected skills at master classes in Poland (Duszniki-Zdroj), Italy(Sermoneta), Germany (Bayreuth). Participated in international competitions flute (Mark-Neu-Kirchen, Geneva, Paris). Winner of the National Flute Competition in Wloszakowice.
First flutist Symphony Orchestra Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic. Often performs as a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra (radio shows “Live”, conducted by Jerzy Maksymiuk), “Ars Iuvenumd (Austria, Belarus).
Since 1999 flute teacher in Music School in Białystok, her students are studying in Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom and were winners in national flute competitions .

Sławomir Bielski
Saxophone. Graduated at the University of Music in Warsaw (clarinet).Postgraduate studies in saxophone at Music Academy. I. J. Paderewski in Poznan with dr. Darius Samolej. Perfected his studies with Wildy Zumwalda and Patrick Meighan. He participated in courses and masterclasses led by Ed Bogard, Jean Marie Londeix, Joseph Wytko, Claude Delangle. He has concerts in Russia and Croatia, and Pomeranian Saxophone Festival in Szczecin, Nowa Sol, Korzuchowie. Since 1992 he teaches saxophone at the Music School in Białystok.
