Its students are successful in international, national and regional competitions and receive artistic scholarships. He has appeared in performances, some of the most notable of which include &#8220;The Phantom of the Opera,&#8221; &#8220;Die Fledermaus,&#8221; &#8220;Fiddler on the Roof,&#8221; &#8220;Doctor Zhivago,&#8221; and &#8220;Jesus Christ Super Star.&#8221; He has collaborated with numerous artists, including Krzysztof Herdzin, Mieczys\u0142aw Szcze\u015bniak, Artur Andrus, Ma\u0142gorzata Walewska, Kayah, Marika, and many others. He played in bands led by: Zbigniew Namys\u0142owski (Namys\u0142owski Super Band), Ryszard Borowski (Big Band Akwarium). He recorded the saxophone part on several albums, including &#8220;The Funk to Change&#8221; &#8211; KEN LEE, &#8220;You saved me&#8221; &#8211; Schola Adonai. Winner of the Young Forms dance festivals in Mr\u0105gowo and the Po\u0142czy\u0144ski Dance Festival. He created acting roles, e.g. musicals: &#8220;Beautiful Cellist&#8221; dir. Jakub Wocial, Ark Naomi, dir. Robert Drobniuch.\u00a0He teaches the saxophone class at the State Primary Music School. J.S. Bach in Grajewo, Music School in Sok\u00f3\u0142ka , Complex Music Schools in Bialystok. In 2021, he performed as a soloist with the Orchestra of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, currently works with the Opera as a saxophonist in the show &#8220;Broadway Dance Club&#8221;.\u00a0Participant of international and national workshops conducted e.g. by Jerry Bergonzi, Bob Reynolds (Snarky Puppy), Greg Osby, Alex Terrier, Ari Roland, Bronis\u0142aw Suchanek, \u0141ukasz Ojdana. He began his musical journey at the age of ten, when he received his first trumpet lessons from his father Algimantas Vaiginis, who was a trombonist in the Lithuanian State Brass Band \u201cTrimitas.\u201d Ugnius Vaiginis comes from a family of musicians, as not only his father but also his grandfather and great-grandfather were<br \/>\nrenowned harmonica masters from the region, and his uncle, Rimantas Vaiginis, was a famous choir conductor in Lithuania. Ugnius\u2019s brother, K\u0119stutis Vaiginis, is one of Lithuania\u2019s leading jazz saxophonists, and his daughter, Augustina Vaiginyt\u0117, is a jazz vocalist currently studying at Berklee College of Music.<br \/>\nSince 1986, he has been the founder, artistic director, and conductor of the Vilnius Children and Youth Orchestra \u201cJovaras,\u201d initiating and organizing educational concerts, creative camps, and artistic workshops for creative Lithuanian children and youth. The Vilnius Children and Youth Orchestra \u201cJovaras\u201d has achieved significant success not only in Lithuania and Europe but has also become world orchestra champions. In 2006, Ugnius Vaiginis received the national award \u201cAukso pauk\u0161t\u0117\u201d with the Vilnius Children and Youth Orchestra \u201cJovaras\u201d for international achievements and a high artistic level.<br \/>\nIn 1987, Ugnius graduated from the Juozas Tallat-Kelp\u0161a Conservatory in Vilnius, earning<br \/>\nqualifications as a trumpeter and orchestra conductor. In 2007, he earned a master&#8217;s degree from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. He refined his skills with the renowned trumpeter Timofey Dokschizer. Since 1993, he has been a trumpet teacher at the B. Dvarionas Music School in Vilnius. At this school, he founded the student symphonic orchestra in 1999 and served as its artistic director and conductor. Since 1993, he has been a soloist and conductor of the State Brass Band \u201cTrimitas,\u201d and in 2009, he became its chief conductor. As a soloist and chief conductor of the State Brass Band \u201cTrimitas,\u201d he<br \/>\nhas prepared original programs of classical, contemporary, sacred, jazz, and popular music with artists such as James Morrison (Australia), Steven Mead (UK), Sergei Nakariakov (France), and Jonathan Warburton (UK). He has collaborated with composers and conductors such as Jacob de Haan (Netherlands), Jan van der Heide (Netherlands), John Linch (USA), Bert Langeler (Netherlands), Janis Purins (Latvia), Thomas C. Duffy (USA), Jorgen Jansen (Denmark), and Brass Brothers (Norway). He has performed in many European countries, as well as in the USA and China. Ugnius Vaiginis has received several important national awards: in 2013, he was awarded a letter of gratitude from the President of Lithuania, Dalia Grybauskait\u0117, and the President&#8217;s Medal, and in 2018, the Minister of Culture, Liana Ruokyt\u0117-Jonsson, presented him with the highest award from the Ministry of Culture \u2013 the \u201cCarry Your Light and Believe\u201d honor. Ugnius Vaiginis is a member of the Lithuanian Musicians&#8217; Union and the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles. It is important to mention that in 2022, Ugnius Vaiginis was one of the organizers of national music, art history, media arts, and theatre general education programs.
