Simon Percic is a Slovenian conductor, educator and trombone player. In recent years he has concentrated on conducting a wide range of ensembles, including symphonic, contemporary and wind ensembles. He has performed in several prestigious concert halls around the world, such as Müpa-Budapest, Harpa-Reykjavík, Konserthuset-Stockholm, Musikverein-Vienna and Berlin Philharmonie-Berlin. In addition, he has made many recordings for national radio and television. He was also the founder and artistic director of OrkesterkamP (summer music school and festival) and Svirél (international competition and festival) for over a decade.

Simon Percic holds a Master’s degree in trombone performance from the Music Academy of Ljubljana (Slovenia) and a Master’s degree in orchestral and choral conducting from the Luleå University of Technology – School of Music (Sweden). He also completed postgraduate studies at the Scuola di musica di Fiesole (Italy), where he studied conducting and trombone under the renowned professors Jorma Panula and Roger Bobo. He is currently a doctoral student at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.  Besides conducting, Percic has achieved considerable success as a teacher and lecturer. He is a frequent guest lecturer at conducting courses throughout Europe and a jury member at national and international music competitions.
